Why a safer community matters to us.

We believe the next generation can do more than just record trauma on their phones.

This mission is personal. Growing up in Prince George's County, MD, I made lifelong friends through school, football, and community events. The DMV area produces bright leaders who need opportunities and safety to shine. The sky is the limit if our youth are in the right environment. Tragically, I lost multiple peers to violence, including a friend to gun violence just outside our neighborhood library. This shattered our sense of safety and shook our community. Despite these losses, I pursued a career in the military, became a first aid instructor, went to graduate school, and earned a physician associate degree. Community members and I from various professions now teach young people life-saving skills and how to be better bystanders. If we can save even one life, it's all worth it.
